The Power Edit mode for Write, Calc, and Show was developed using Java technology. What that means for you is that when you run the application Java applets (little applications written in Java) are launched from your browser. The first time this happens it may take some time. The good news is that now it takes even less time than it used to.
We expect users will save about 50~60% in downloading time with the new applets.
When you use Write, Calc, and Show the next time, they run just like any desktop application, since the applets are stored on your computer using the Java Virtual Machine developed by Sun.
These feature are working on Java version 1.4 and above. If you are using previous versions you may want to upgrade your Java software.
To check and see what version of Java you are currently running,
please visit here and click ‘Verify Installation.’
For the techies
Applet downloading time will be decreased dramatically because we recently applied Java’s brand new techniques, Pack200 & GZIP Compression.
With both techniques the compressed JAR files are transmitted over the network and the receiving application decompresses and restores them.

We just added another way for you to share files and publish documents to an even wider audience - through del.icio.us bookmarks!
Now you can circulate your favorite stories, research papers, agendas, schedules, and presentations with just a click of a button. You can also use del.icio.us to create links to web sites within your word processing documents.
What is del.icio.us?
del.icio.us allows you to:
* Keep links to your favorite articles, blogs, music, restaurant reviews, and more on del.icio.us and access them from any computer on the web.
* Share favorites with friends, family, and colleagues.
* Discover new things. Everything on del.icio.us is someone’s favorite - they’ve already done the work of finding it. Explore and enjoy.
For a free del.icio.us account, go to del.icio.us.

How do I use ThinkFree Online to bookmark documents?
From ThinkFree Docs, choose the document you want to bookmark and click the link “bookmark on del.icio.us.” You will then be asked to log in to your del.icio.us account. If your browser is set to accept cookies you will only need to log in the first time, after that your del.icio.us account information is stored for subsequent use.
How do I insert bookmarks from my del.icio.us list into my Write document?
Open or create a new Write file in Power Edit mode. Click on “Insert”, “Hyperlink”. On the new window that appears you will see the del.icio.us icon on the left side (
). Clicking this icon allows you to log in to your del.icio.us account. Any bookmarks in your del.icio.us list can then be inserted into the current document.

Want to keep up with all the latest documents published on Doc Exchange?
RSS feeds can now help you track the documents as they are submitted.
So, how do I use RSS feeds on Doc Exchange?
To subscribe to a RSS feed you will need two things, a RSS reader (also known as a news reader or aggregator) and the URL (web address) of the RSS feed you wish to subscribe to. Some commonly used news readers are FeedDemon, NewzCrawler, and Awasu for Windows. NetNewsWire, Newsfire, and Shrook can be used for Macs. For those who like web-based readers there’s Bloglines, My Yahoo!, and NewsGator.
Once you have a RSS reader installed, right-click (or control + click on Mac) the icon(
) on the upper right side of the Doc Exchange page and copy the URL. Then paste the URL into the reader as a new feed (your reader will have instructions on how to do this).
After subscribing, you will receive the list of the most recently updated documents as soon as they are posted on Doc Exchange, rather than having to visit the page every time you want to check for changes and additions.
