Email from Vicki
We just received an email from Vicki Morgan, the iPod invitation winner of December.
Here is a story that we want to share with you.
I started using ThinkFree in February of 2006 to solve cross-compatibility issues. Although I work primarily on a Linux machine, I occasionally have to make do with Windows or Mac. Carrying files on on a flash drive wasn’t working out; I could never find a format sure to be opened by any computer.ThinkFree support impressed me immediately. The first time I tried to upload a file, I got an error message: File name cannot contain /.
(Obviously an important issue for Linux users). I sent off an email, and the problem was resolved within a matter of hours. How cool is that? Not the usual experience in customer support.
I teach computer applications in a Linux-based school. Compatibility was an issue there, too. I set up an account for the teachers to use, and uploaded templates for report cards. I can’t tell you how much smoother the report card process has been, and the teachers love being able to work on them wherever they happen to be. Next, I started introducing students to ThinkFree. Again, incredible response. They wanted their own accounts. It was so much easier for them to move work between school and home; no more converting file formats or worries over lost disks.Periodically I review other online office suites, and always find ThinkFree is more feature-rich and user-friendly. That seems to be the consensus among Web 2.0 product reviewers, too. And the recent upgrades to your product, especially the presentation program, are awesome. There is absolutely no other online presentation software that comes even close.
ThinkFree is one of the most valuable tools I could have given my students. I expect they will be using it for a very long time. Thanks for such a great product (and the free iPod!)
