Now that Microsoft is implementing ODF in Office 2k7 SP1, maybe you should start implementing that standard format in your own product. There is a segment of the market, particular government users in Europe and some African countries, where a product that is not ODF-capable is a product that cannot be purchased / subscribed / used. http://www.microsoft.com/Presspass/press/2008/may08/05-21ExpandedFormatsPR.mspx

Versioning: Right now, version 1.0 is ISO approved, while version 1.1 is in the widest use. 1.2 is still in the design process at OASIS, and will hopefully go on to ISO as well. OpenOffice.org and its related products (including StarOffice, IBM Lotus Symphony, and NeoOffice) all produce/consume version 1.1, as does KOffice.

It makes sense to try to get it done before Microsoft's product release in mid-2009, so that ThinkFree doesn't get left behind the pack. GDocs, Zoho, and other online competitors already implement ODF (some better than others), so this should be a priority.

Where, or how, can I get a response from your tech support: all replies I get are from non-returnable e-mail address. And this web-site does not list any e-mail address's nor phone numbers to get ahold of tech support. Or does anybody care? Call me by phone, please _ 480-556-1930.
