One of the key benefits of moving your document workflow to the cloud is the ability to enhance collaborative work scenarios by providing a friction-free way to work together with others in real-time. Having the ability to see changes from other collaborators as they happen makes the collaboration process more efficient and more effective.
In a today’s release, a customized version of Hancom’s collaborative document editor was made available to all WorkDocs users (starting in the Western US Oregon region first and then followed by other regions in the coming days). Since collaborative work is at the core of the WorkDocs service, Hancom’s web editor serves primarily to enhance the collaborative workflow by offering real-time collaborative editing seamlessly within the WorkDocs site.
Instead of uploading and downloading various document drafts multiple times as you incorporate feedback from other contributors, you can join a “live edit” session and collaboratively edit a document all within the WorkDocs site. All changes from collaborators are shown to each other immediately as they happen.
To start using Hancom’s document editor, your WorkDocs administrator must first enable “Hancom Online Editing” within the WorkDocs site administration panel.
After that, from either the file listing or the document preview page, you can start editing by clicking on the “pencil” icon.
You can also click on the “Edit Online” submenu to start editing the document.
If others are already editing the document, then you can also join the collaborative editing session by clicking on “Live Edit.”
After joining the editing session, you will be able to see other collaborators and their changes in real-time.
Finally, as expected, you can also create a new document, spreadsheet or presentation by clicking on the “New” drop-down menu.
Hancom’s collaborative editor is available as of today. Start collaborating now!
